The Boy Scouts of the Philippines had been an institution that serves for the development of the boys in their social, emotional and leadership aspect. The movement caters to the different needs of its members and trains them to be the next abiding citizen of our country. The Court of Honor of Bohol Council, Boy Scouts of the Philippines was convened once again last August 18, 2012 in order to recognize the achievements of its scouts who had contributed well to the development of the community and who had attained the Eagle Scout Rank. The Court of Honor was held in the walls of Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School.

Indeed, it was a momentous event not only for the council but also for the institution which had produced its pioneered Eagle Scout rank awardee in the person of Eagle Scout Darwin Timothy Mende. The Court of Honor was headed by the former Mayor of Tagbilaran City and currently the 1st Vice Chairman of the Council Executive Board, Atty. Jose Torralba as the chairman of the court. Together with him as members were Sctr. Paul Nuera, Sctr. Jose Parmisano, Sctr. Dennis Budlong and Sctr. Sanie Joel Cagoco, ES. The court officially conferred the Eagle Scout Rank award to the sole awardee of the event and gave its tribute to the parent who had nurtured the scout to be what he is today.

ES Darwin Mende is currently serving as Deputy Executive Director for Senior Scouting of the National Alliance of Scout Volunteers, a community based scouting organization.
