Our Humble Beginning....
The National Alliance of Youth Volunteers, Inc. started as a dream to established a youth led organization that is geared towards quality development for the youth by providing formal and informal educational process.
The starting of the organization wasn't an easy task to the core founders of the organization. There were different challenges and obstacles that had confronted them but surely they had faced all the odds. To build a well established youth led organization is not something they could do overnight but rather it must be done as a passion to serve the youth community and not for their own self interest.
The dream turns into reality as the Bohol Alliance of Scout Volunteer (its former name) was founded on November 27, 2010 during the 19th Provincial Jamborette and Kawan Holiday of Bohol Council, Boy Scouts of the Philippines. The founders were namely Mr. Sanie Joel V. Cagoco, Eagle Scout Justine Vincent Lou Villaver and Eagle Scout Josef Godinez. The founders focused their time and efforts on the improvement of the organization as they campaign for additional members to join their group and be part of a network of volunteers.
As a youth led community based organization, the founders believe and desire that the organization will serve as a training ground for future youth leaders as we continue to mold them in the spirit of volunteerism. Being a leader is not something we could easily work on but it is something we need to develop within every individuals throughout our life. Being a good leader must start in being an effective volunteer to help in the development of our community. Age is not a hindrance in contributing to the country's development but rather it will serve as an asset as the youth of today will be the leaders of tomorrow.
As the organization moves on and continues its goals, so thus the spirit of volunteerism the organization had been promoting since the time of its conception will continue to burn and serves as a guiding light for the youth. For a better country and beyond......
